Bridal Expo Trips

In general, almost everything I got called for from bridal expos were scams. From Mary Kay parties to free "trips" that are time share advertisements. The trip you got is likely one of those "we'll pay for the trip. Just sit in on this time share presentation as we hard sell you on signing up for one." I like to call it scam-light. It's still a free trip, just a marketing one.

Yeah I agree with PP. The "free" trips require you to sit through hours long presentation about the time shared.

Yes, they aren't exactly "scams" in the traditional sense. You can get free stuff, free trips, etc. But you have to sit through a timeshare presentation, then get the hard sell. Or you have to sit through a cookware demonstration, then get the hard sell.

What it comes down to is companies trying to sell their stuff (timeshares/cookware/products), and they are targeting couples getting married as good prospects.

If you want that free cruise badly enough, they figure you'll sit through the presentation.

Ok thanks cuz I was so confused

My bridesmaid won the trip from the bridal expo we went to but she ended up not claiming it because they wanted her to come into this presentation where they try to sell her stuff. And she did some research and it seemed like a scam to her.
