Bridal entrance, and bridal party entrance?

Stephanie , on June 16, 2017 at 9:10 AM Posted in Planning 0 23

Are you all having one song play for the bridesmaid walking toward the alter be a different song than the bride walking down? Or did you have the same song all the way. Not sure what to do? Thoughts?

I'm having one song for the bridesmaids and I (same song). My mother isn't walking down. She says she doesn't want any eyes on her so I'm like... cool by me. Saves time.

I had 2 different songs for the bridesmaids processional and my processional. But we also had an organist so she went straight into the 2nd song when the bridesmaids were done walking Smiley smile

I'm having my bridal parry walk with one song and I'm walking in with another. I'm actually not doing any recorded music, I'm having someone sing all my songs for me.

We are doing one song for everyone except me. Right before I walk the DJ will switch the song to mine.

The wedding party walked to "A Thousand Years" cover by The Piano Guys and I walked to "Love Story" cover by The Vitamin String Quartet. Our recessional song was "You Make My Dreams Come True" by Hall and Oates

Our wedding party walked to "a thousand years" by the piano guys and I walked to "when I say I do" by Matthew west. Our recessional was "rhythm of love" by plain white T's.

FH and GM will walk in to Jackie Wilson's "HIgher and HIgher;" moms/his dad to U2's "Beautiful Day," BMs to The Beatles' "Something," and then I'm coming in to Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" (but obviously we're going a lot non-traditional anyway)

I agree, it's tough to find one song let alone many lol I don't know if my mom will be walking down. I'll have to check. I just didn't know if one song would be weird or not lol guess there's many different ways to approach it. Smiley smile

I haven't decided yet, but this us something I've been pondering since we hired our band (a bluegrass band :-D ). I believe I'm going to have the bridesmaids walk down the aisle to a different song than me in order to demark my entrance. However, I love the song I'll be walking down the aisle to so much that I'm considering using it for both so that it can be played longer. :-)
