Bridal brunch

Who’s hosting? Typically the person who’s hosting would be the person who’s paying. If they’re wanting to do it to celebrate you, they should pay. I don’t see why you would. I hosted something similar for my best friend when she got married and the bridal party paid.

Is it going to be done as a shower? Then your local bridesmaids host it. You don’t contribute in any way beyond a suggested guest list of those who are local to where the shower is held and also invited to the wedding. You also give them a a couple dates of availability to pick from. Anyone who is not local will not be invited.


Traditionally there is also a bridesmaid luncheon where the bride hosts a low key party to thank her bridesmaids that she is responsible for. This would be done when all bridesmaids are in the same location and thank you gifts given.

If they’re planning it they have to pay for it. Of course I had a friend plan mine and I ended up paying for it. But in general whoever plans to host it covers the cost.
