Bridal Bouquets

Jacklyn, on October 28, 2019 at 1:21 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 12

The venue my fiance and I are thinking is a bit more expensive so I was thinking of cutting on flowers to save money.

Do you think its really necessary to have a bridal bouquet and/or bouquets for bridesmaids? It seems they just get thrown away after the ceremony and no one would miss them.

If you are worried about funds you could always find a person to make a small trial sized bouquet for you. (I got one for 25$ when I was looking at different colors and types of flowers. It was a silk bouquet) It is of course not necessary for the bridesmaids to carry flowers. I am having my bridesmaids carry Christmas wreaths. There are tons of unique ideas for bridesmaids to carry that are different out there. I recommend Looking on Pinterest.

Not necessary. You could have them carry a sprig of baby's breath with a bow tied around it or a single long stemmed rose if you really want them to carry something.

I only ordered my bouquet,3 corsages for my maid of honor, mil, mom and 4 boutonnières for dad, fil,fh,best man,two small arrangements and came in at about $500. My max for flowers. You don’t need crazy flower arrangements, you can keep it small

There are lots of options for them. Why not have them carry a single flower with ribbon or depending on your venue maybe a lantern. Check out Pinterest there are lots of inexpensive ideas.

I would definitely have them carry something even if it isn't flowers. Also, do you plan on having tables with nothing on them other than plates?

I personally would have my BMs carry a single stem, faux flower, mini lantern for $5 or a hoop so I could have a real floral bridal bouquet. Does that interest you?

Etsy! there are so many silk or sola wood flower options that definitely save you money. if you still don't want bouquets some people do flower halos or flower wreaths. you could even try corsages!

I agree in the sense that they probably get thrown away but you can find fake ones so cheap at a craft store. I got mine for $2 each and since they're fake we all kept them

There are definitely lots of alternatives to traditional real flowers that are much less expensive. You can get corsages for your bridesmaids, have them carry flower hoops, do silk or wood flowers, have a paper flower bouquet, they can carry a single flower or a bunch of baby's breath, lanterns, or several other things. you can do the same yourself!! Here's a photo I found with some ideas and an article for inspiration.

There are lots of fun alternatives! They should be holding something, otherwise it feels awkward for them to stand there with nothing to do with their hands.

I like the idea of lanterns if it’s a sunset outdoor ceremony, some other alternatives I’ve seen include floral hoops, pretty handheld fans, pretty parasols if it’s a sunny outdoor ceremony.
