Bridal Boudoir 👰

Jenn, on August 4, 2020 at 9:23 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 15
Hi fellow brides and wives!

I’ve had bridal boudoir on my mind for a long time! I wanted to do it a while back but I chickened out. However, I am in all these boudoir Facebook groups and I love the photos. I’m thinking of getting a small black book for my hubby to be. I think he will like it but, I mostly want to do it for me.
Anyone done it? How was your experience? Anyone else thinking of doing it?
I’ve gotten pricing anywhere from $600-$3000 what did you pay?

I found my photographer through an app called thumbtack and paid 400 for pictures and an album. I loved the experience! My dog even jumped in ! Ahaha basically I found if the photographer comes to you Itis not only cheaper but the space makes your more comfortable since your more familiar! I’m happy to talk more about about the experience!

I have been looking at doing it! I think that I will end up doing it as a gift for the FW before the wedding! I have found one photographer that I like and she has an all inclusive package (hair, make up and 2 hour shoot) for around $1000

I’ve found around $1300 including makeup/Hair a book and 10 photos. So I feel like that’s the average.

A boudoir is all about what you make it ! In my album I was able to leave him notes. But most importantly it was fun and I felt amazing. I will
Say mines probably was cheaper because I just did photography I did not do hair and makeup because I chose to do those myself. So if you choose hair and make up it probably is more !

The price sounds normal. I plan to do it as well when we are at our honeymoon. It will be my wedding gift to him

I am doing the same thing for my gift! I used our wedding photographer and it was $300 for an hour and unlimited photos. She was probably the cheapest I have seen. The only downside was that I had to do my own hair and makeup but I had a friend do my makeup which turned out great!

Wow in my state I've seen the price at $500 but never anything more. I'm doing a boudoir shot for my husband to be. My bridesmaid is a photographer and has done a bunch for of them for brides. I don't know if I'll be comfortable but with her being someone I know and the fact that she has done several I feel a little more comfortable with it. I think you just got to find what you feel comfortable doing. I've seen some boudoir shots where the bride was naked and I've seen some where the bride was in a white silk rob. I'm doing some naked ones but I'll position my arms and leg in a way where it will cover my lady bits. I'm also doing some in a bubble bath.

I did it and it was such a fun experience. I found a deal on Groupon and paid only 219. It included a black book with 36 photos and my makeup. I was able to download all my pics the same day because I didn’t have them edited and received my album two weeks later! It was the best deal around. But I did hunt for that deal.

I got boudoir pictures taken and it was the best experience ever! I have to say, I spent like 3x the amount I thought it was going to be because the listing price was for the session and the hair and makeup only, not including the pictures or any prints and albums. I also did mine with an award winning photographer who has been published in international magazines and stuff sooooo yeah it got pricey... BUT I don't regret it at ALL! In fact I signed up to be a model for her site and she's posted me multiple times on her front page and all over her social media. She has become a good friend to me which has been awesome, and is even invited to our wedding lol! I ended up getting a medium size album, with silk pages and real wood and leather on the cover, as well as eight 8x10 prints and an acrylic portrait.

It was so great though, my photographer works out of her own home which she has converted much of into a photography studio with tons of different furniture pieces and a lingerie closet you can borrow pieces from. I got professional H&MU done right there in her studio, snacks and drinks and music playing to get you in a great mood! I would do it again in a heartbeat!

I’m so glad I posted because I’m convinced this is necessary now lol! I found a girl I really like and the process is the same, mimosas while H&M are done and she also has a closet to choose from if I want to. It’s going to end up at about $1000 including a small black book with 8 images. But I have a feeling I’ll end up wanting more.

I did one a couple of weeks ago. It was a great experience! I was super nervous but felt more comfortable as the shoot went on. I paid $80 to rent the space and $200 for my photographer for a 2 hour shoot. I haven’t ordered the book yet so I don’t have the cost for that just yet. I totally recommend doing it. I’ve never felt so sexy and free. Oh, and I also did a bridal makeup trial the morning of so it wouldn’t go to waste.

UPDATE: I am booked for 11/20/20!!! I’m so looking forward to this 🥰. I settled on a company that was slightly more expensive than a couple others I found, but she sounds like she has the real boudoir experience. Hair and makeup, mimosas, unlimited looks, client closet, and the little black book I wanted. It’ll be about $1000 but it’s an investment for myself so, whatevs!
