Bridal belts?

I purchased a bridal belt from Etsy and it’s beautiful however the more I look at it the more I don’t want to wear it. I tried it on with the dress at my alterations appointment and the seamstress said “wow the belt charges the entire look of your dress.” I felt sad after that bc I like the sleek modern look of it. So I’m just curious if others are going with a belt or not.

Yes. Im wearing a belt. But if you prefer your dress without a belt, certainly don’t wear one.

I'm not wearing a belt either. In general, I'm team no belt because I think the dress should speak for itself

This is completely up to you if you want to add the belt or not. You could post pics here of both options to see what people think. I had my dress custom made and decided to have a belt sewn in because I liked how it accentuated the waist and added a little sparkle. Here are pics of the dress being made with and without the belt and then on my wedding day.

I had a sleek look. I didn't wear a dress belt. I do not like them. Excuse those grotesque alex and ani bracelets my mom gave to me on my wedding day. 🤦‍♀️ I have better pictures but these were the first in my gallery. 🤷‍♀️

Depending heavily on the style of dress, I mostly don’t like the look of belts on brides. Most look “added on” as an afterthought and don’t flow well with the gown. I typically focus my eyes on them and the brides look sectioned/cut in half by them. Idk :p
