Bridal Accessories

Hey Bride Tribe,
I need some help. I am plus size and I’ve been hunting for bridal accessories (particularly, cover-ups, body suits, unique capes, head pieces, and veils) and I haven’t had the best luck in the Boston area. Everything I find online is from somewhere far away, and I’d really love to see and feel what I’m buying before buying it. I’m willing to travel to other abutting states. Any suggestions on where to find these kinds of accessories?!
XO

Well, there's always David's Bridal, but I would suggest looking around at local bridal salons to see if they have anything good. When it comes to veils though, your best bet will probably be to shop online. The David's Bridal selection is overpriced and mediocre quality, so I would look at Etsy or Amazon and see if you can find something for a decent quality for a lot cheaper. I understand wanting to touch and feel the quality though - maybe you can try consignment shops or second hand?

Why not have things shipped to you. Veils and accessories you do not need to shop for. Kohl's or department stores may have some shapewear. I got my veil and bouquet from etsy and will order some more items from there.

I got a lot of stuff from Etsy, but you can't feel it before you buy it. I got my veil from Amazon. I bought ones that offered free shipping and returns. I ordered several and only kept the one I liked the best.

I got my entire bridal look from David’s Bridal! I found that the location I went to had a lot of different options as far as accessories went. They even let my best friend bring her non-David’s Bridal dress in so she could wear it while she tried on veils. She ended up getting one from Etsy, but it was still a great experience! I’d call around and see if any places in your area would let you do something like that so you can see the total picture. Best of luck!! xoxo
