Boutonnières or Lapel Pins

Natalie, on March 26, 2017 at 4:14 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

I'm trying to decide whether to have the men in my wedding wear boutonnières or lapel pins. I like the traditional flower boutonnières but I also like the modern feel of the lapel pin. I'm on the fence. What are your opinions? If you had lapel pins for your wedding please do share a pic Smiley smile

I have never heard of a lapel pin before, but the picture you posted is so cool! I agree with smox, I'd ask FH and see if he prefers one or the other.

I was thinking about this issue last week. I really wanted burgundy ties and matching pocket squares with small boutonnière or lapel pin but when mentioned it here told that looks like prom. The best man is super into GQ men's fashion and requested no boutonnière nor a lapel pin.

The grey tuxes I'm getting are edged in black satin and he thought a black pocket square and bow tie would be most elegant choice. I'm taking his advice except getting burgundy bow ties.

One thing to consider if you want either choice is that you will pay for flowers but the groomsmen would pay for a lapel pin if it comes part of their rental.

I went with boutoniers, I think one would fit your venue better? I always side with fresh flowers, but I'm also having an outdoor/boho wedding gown so lapel pins would look out of place Smiley smile

Skipping boutineers and lapel pins. The boys will have pocket squares and that's it.
