Boutonniere/corsage alternatives?

BenNikkiM<3, on February 23, 2014 at 9:38 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 1

If we don't get floral pieces for our parents (all seven), we can get our wedding flowers for under $180 (bride bouquet, MOH bouquet, groom, best man, flower girl petals, unity candle). If we add the parents, we're looking at almost $300. Soooo....

Has anyone done something different? And do you have pics? Or does anyone have any creative ideas to make our parents feel special and honored with something other than flowers? Or should I just bite the bullet on this one? We have a way awesome florist now (thank you everyone who responded to my last floral post!) who is more than happy to customize our order to fit our budget. I just don't know how I feel about another $100 in my flower budget....

Look on Etsy - you could do succulent or sola flower (wood flowers) bouts and corsages. Most are about between 9-15 dollars. Or you could purchase bouts and corsages made from preserved flowers.

This website I found has 21 unique ideas for bouts: http://emmalinebride.com/groom/21-unique-alternative-boutonniere-ideas/

First picture: I bought two of these (sola flowers) and they were about 10 dollars - one is a bout and the other a corsage. I'm in love with sola flowers ... if you couldn't tell. My boquet is made from them as well. You could also just buy the flowers and DIY the bouts and corsages.
