Boutonniere or pocket square

Ashley, on August 12, 2018 at 9:13 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6
Hey everyone!
My FH and the groomsmen get pocket squares with their tux rentals. Should they have boutonnieres too? Or just the pocket square?

You can do both or just one. No wrong answer here.

Hi Ashley! It's really up to you and your fiancé's preference! No wrong answers here. Have you asked your FH how he would feel about a boutonnière along with the pocket square? Smiley heart What kind of flowers are in your bouquet?

Technically, the correct fashion way of doing things is to pick one - not both. However, I don't think anyone really cares about that and I know my FH wants to do both so he is. It really is just up to his personal taste.

Hi! He is completely fine with just the pocket square. However, both our mothers say boutonnieres. The flowers I have for the wedding are sola wood flowers so it would be easy to make some up. I just dont want to waste time if it's not necessary.

First-- regarding the boutonnieres, either way will look lovely. Adding boutonnieres is just adding a little extra finishing touch. It's not required and doesn't make or break the look. So really, completely up to you both.

Second-- Ohmygosh! Your flowers are GORGEOUS! Smiley heart I love this idea. You could definitely do a matching wood boutonnieres to match your bouquets if you do decide to go this route. Again though, completely your choice.
