Boutonnière on the opposite side??

Britni, on May 11, 2022 at 11:37 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 1

I am planning on standing on the right side of the church (which traditionally the bride is supposed to be on the left). Normally then, the groom/dads wear their boutonnière on their L side. I'm thinking that since I'm standing on the opposite side, the groom/dad's should switch the side the flower is on to their right so it looks better in pictures?

And then if we do that, should mom's switch the side their wrist corsages are on to adjust for the change in the dad's flower?

I don't think that would be a problem unless it would it bug you that the flowers were flipped when you look back on pictures. Just make sure that whoever is in charge of pinning the boutonnieres is aware of the flip so you don't have some guys with their boutonnieres on one side and some with them on the other side! It's easy enough to flip a corsage to the other wrist, but trying to re-pin a boutonniere is a pain.
