Bouquet Toss Alternatives?

Hannah, on January 9, 2018 at 4:33 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 12
Anyone have any fun alternatives to the bouquet and garter toss? Nothing against them, I just personally would rather not haha.

We are just skipping them, and don't plan to do anything to replace them.

I found on pinterest to put the bouquet in a locked birdcage or locked glass case and the ladies would pick a key and one at a time try key.

We're not doing that either, we have decided that we're just gonna give both our parents a nice gift and our daughter a nice gift at the time of bouquet/garter toss them afterwards all adults will take a shot and continue with the partying 😊😊😊. So you don't have to toss one if you don't want. My wedding is not the traditional wedding/reception

We are skipping them, too. And also not replacing them. I've been to several weddings where this was the case, and no guests seemed to mind - or even notice, really.

We just skipped both! I've actually never seen a garter toss in person, and I've only seen about half of my friends do the bouquet toss!

You could also give your bouquet to someone special or to the couple attending who has been married the longest!

One of my friends did like a confetti toss all over everyone. They had some cute little confetti gun and just blasted it over people while we were dancing. Thought it was cute!!

I am also skipping, but I've been to a couple of weddings where they have a dance and give the bouquet to the couple that's been married the longest. I also saw one where they just did length as a couple, not marriage, so if you have any friends who have been together a long time, but aren't married, they can feel included too.

I would just skip them entirely. That's what we plan to do.

Just skip it. Honestly, stopping the dance party to do the tosses is a great wait to kill the vibe....and I'd assume it's the same for any alternatives to the toss that you'd come up with

I'm skipping it and I'm not sure if this is what I'm going to do or if it necessarily replaces it but I've seen some really cute videos of the bride and groom sitting back to back and each has one of the bride's shoes and one of the groom's shoes and they are asked questions like "who steals all the covers at night" and then they raise the appropriate shoe!
