Bouquet stand for reception

Kim, on September 16, 2015 at 11:09 AM Posted in Planning 0 3

I would like to display my bouquet since I am sewing the burlap and lace bouquet wrap and it is looking great. I don't want to just lay it on table and also don't want to spend the $20.00 for a bouquet stand I will use for 2 hours. I had seen somewhere the suggestion of a doll stand and was wondering if anyone used one for their bouquet. If so the size of stand used and how well it worked out. Any other suggestions on an inexpensive bouquet holder. I am a frugal bride.

The size of the stand and the price will depend on how large your bouquet is. I recommend a wood base because they are more weighted on the bottom than a metal stand. Prices range from $1 to $25 depending on the size. Hobby Lobby has wood base doll stands around $3.

You can determine the size of the stand if you know the total height of your bouquet and the width of your handle.

Doll height = total height of bouquet

Doll waist width = the top of your handle directly below the flowers

Doll waist height = the length of your stems/handles below the flowers

Here is a website that will help you choose the right size:

ETA: IMO putting the bouquet in a vase may "distort" the view or take away from your burlap & lace wrap if that is what you are trying to showcase. Also, I am not sure that you would want to put water in the vase as it may ruin the wrap.
