Bouquet preservation

Brit, on June 7, 2019 at 5:57 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 3
Hi everyone! I am hoping someone knows of a food way to preserve flowers. I don’t want to spend a ton of money for a preservation shop (for my size bouquet they start at $350) and hanging upside down doesn’t preserve the color of the flower. Any suggestions would be appreciated. TIA

This: https://www.michaels.com/activa-flower-drying-art-silica-gel/10300251.html. But if you are doing the full bouquet in tact you will need a ton! If you buy some air tight containers and pick a couple of your favorite stems you can DIY. Then you’ll want a safe way to display them, so an airtight container, possibly with museum grade glass if you want to display within sunlight and maintain the color. Find a local sports memorabilia place or framing shop and they can talk to you about framing/display options after you do the drying/preservation. The other option is pressed flowers if the flowers in your bouquet are suitable for that. Get a family member or bridesmaid to grab a couple centerpieces for you so you have more than enough flowers to choose from. 😊
