Bought my dress yesterday, immediately started feeling dress regret?

Stephanie, on July 14, 2019 at 9:35 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13
Has this happened to anyone else? I kept trying on dresses and comparing them to this one and another one that I liked, however, this one was my favorite. I just wish it had a little more sparkle and fit my body a little better, after seeing a dress that fit perfectly. I'm hoping this will go away after I get it in my size, but that's 4 or 5 months from now. I'm also wondering... is it bridal enough??
We are getting married at a mountain venue with an open air barn reception.

I think its bridal enough! If you're looking for more sparkle, you could add a blingy belt. That could give you that pizzazz you're looking for!

It’s gorgeous!!!! And yes, bridal!! Your sparkle will be in your accessories and most definitely in your smile that day!! Dress regret happens to more ladies than you’d think, and almost all of them will come back saying the regret was unfounded. My advice - stop looking. Definitely stop comparing. You are going to look and feel amazing!!!!

I did try a blingy belt and a veil with some bling and that did help. I loved it. I just cant help but feeling like maybe there would have been an even better one if I just kept looking? I tried on like 15 at two different stores. So it's not like I tried on two and then chose. But you're right, i do need to stop looking and comparing!!

It’s definitely bridal and absolutely gorgeous. I think many of us decide guess our choice but go with it now. It’s done and over and focus now on other things for your special day. By the time you do your hair and get your veil on you will feel really special. I would overdo it with jewelry because your dress is so pretty but some nice dangly earrings would be pretty.

It’s gorgeous! A sparkle belt, hair accessory (headband or comb) and maybe drop earrings and you’ll be fine.

It’s so hard to see how a dress will truly fit until alterations are done. I think it’s stunning and will fit exactly how u want it to after you work with your seamstress. You can add sparkle in a belt and your veil as well as your jewelry.

This is GORGEOUS. I think it's natural to sometimes feel some kind of doubt like... Did I look enough? Is this REALLY the one?
Whatever you wear, you'll look stunning in.

Girl, that dress is so dreamy. 😍 Love the lace and undertones. And your body looks great! Sounds perfect for your venue, too! I was feeling the same way. I tried on about ten dresses total, and bought the third dress I tried on. I also kept coming back to that one dress. It had everything I wanted. However, for three months I kept wondering if I made the right decision. Once my dress arrived in my size, and I got to try it on again, I knew I made the right decision.

I love this dress and I think it sounds perfect for your venue.
I think that we can always wonder if it’s the “right” one or if there’s one better out there...that’s normal! But like anything else, there’s always going to be something later and greater. I think you made a great choice.

I think it is beautiful! I agree, you could always try a belt. I also was concerned mine wasn't blingy enough but after trying on a couple of belts I actually found I liked it better without a belt and I love it now! Trust me, it will feel completely different when it fits you how you want!

I think it is gorgeous as is! If you want to add some sparkle you could do as others said and add a belt or some really pretty accessories. You could do a really pretty necklace with that neckline and if you aren't opposed to straps you could do some blingy spaghetti straps. My dress had beading all over it but the straps were nude and looked like bra straps. lol. I had the designer run the same beading from the bodice up the straps, I didn't think it would make a big difference but it really did and no one knew it didn't come like that.

I agree with the other ladies, you could add as little or as much sparkle as you want with accessories like a belt and a fab necklace. As for the fit, don't worry about that until your fitting with your seamstress. She will make it fit like a glove and could probably even add some more bling to the dress.
