Boudoir Tipping!

Hello all!

I have my boudoir shot Wednesday and I am so nervous. I’m driving about a half hour away to get them done in a photographers studio. I already paid her $250 fee for an hour. She also set up a hair/ make up artist to come to the studio to do me up before the shot. I already paid her $65 fee. I have no idea where she is traveling from, just that she will be there.

How much should I tip for hair and make up?

Should I tip the photographer as well, even though she owns her own business? How much?

I've never tipped a photographer but then again I usually have my sister take my photos. I'd say a tip is always appreciated, or in the very least to leave a review!

Hi Sarah!
It's totally normal to be nervous for a boudoir shoot. Try to remember this is not the photographers first nervous bride and she will be super experienced in helping you feel comfortable
I would advise you to tip like you would for any normal service you're happy with.
However, before deciding on a tip amount for the HMUA, I would advise you ask the photographer first, as she arranged the services. They may have a deal worked out where the tip was already included, or the photographer may be able to advise on what the prices for the HMUA services are so you will know what amount you're tipping on.
