Boudoir photos

I’m planning on getting boudoir photos done. When did you give them to your FH? The day of the wedding?

I just got my boudoir photos done last weekend! I’ll be giving him the “little black book” on our wedding day Smiley smile At first I was going to give it to him that night after the reception, but now I’m thinking I’ll send it to his hotel suite in the morning so our photographer can capture his reaction.

I'm giving him mine the night before the wedding so we can enjoy them together. 😉

I will be having my MOH deliver the boudoir photos to him the morning of the wedding once he arrives to his grooms suite at the venue. That way he can view them before he sees me walk down the aisle 😉
I have not decided how I am presenting them yet. Either on an iPad or a book.

I “gave” my husband his before the rehersal. I had the bag in one of our closets and I was on the phone with him, so I told him to go get it. I figured it would be too hectic the morning of the wedding and I wanted to at least hear his reaction.

I gave it to him the night before, after rehearsal dinner, because I didn’t want it floating around the venue the day of the wedding.

They’re usually partially clothed or lingerie, but i wouldn’t say naughty. All the boudoir photos i have seen are tasteful.

    😂😂😂😂

I am going to have mine given to him the day of the wedding. Our ceremony isn’t until 6, so I’ll send it over with his whisky.

Thanks! I am actually, but what you're telling me is that because I don't want to take my clothes off in front of a stranger, I'm not a good time. Cool. I have never heard of these pics being taken before. Kinda seems more like a one year anniversary thing to me.

Why is this so funny? You don't know me anymore than I know you.

🤔I’m thinking about having my MOH(my sister) give my FH his present the morning of our wedding, him looking at my photos should calm his nerves 😉

You're right, I don't know you - but then again I never claimed to.I thought what the person said that I quoted was funny. I didn't direct anything towards you specifically.

Why would you make the original comment that you did (which honestly made it seem like you were appalled at the idea of these pictures) about having them done before the wedding, but suddenly it's okay if it's a one year thing? That doesn't really make sense to me.

Boudoir shoots are usually really classy, and romantic - of course some of the shoots are more risque, but you're doing it in front of a professional photographer - not exactly a random stranger in the street.

Yup, you're right. I do think they are appalling. I don't know how to voice this without sounding insulting, but I've never been into porn-ish style anything. Sorry. I'm not comfortable with the subject, never have been and most definitely never will be. I think if you wanna give your HUSBAND this style of photo AFTER you are married, great, but we don't need to pretend we are playboy models just because we are getting married. Your FH or husband knows what you look like, why do we need to pretend? Further more, it's a private, intimate thing, obviously. Why are we talking about it in the open for the world to see?

You're entitled to your opinion and view on this matter, just as everyone else is. Boudoir photos are definitely not everyone's cup of tea, and that's totally fine! However, maybe you just should have moved on to the next discussion. If you aren't comfortable talking about it "out in the open" then why even comment on this thread?

I haven't decided quite when I'm going to give FH "the book." I think before the ceremony might be weird cause there will be other people around him and I kinda want to see his reaction. So right now, I'm leaning towards giving them to him after the wedding when we get home. Or maybe sneaking away from the reception for a minute to give them to him then.

I just have a question regarding the shoot in general if that's ok LOL. I really want to do this for my FH but I am incredibly self conscious and awkward.. If anyone has these issues how did you get over it? Was your photographer female? I've never heard of these before I got on this site and I'm honestly kind of excited at the idea to do one, I just have body issues.

Sorry to not help with your point of the discussion :')

The way to combat that in my case is I'm pretty great at photography so I'm taking them myself.

A professional photographer will be able to guide you through it and help you feel more comfortable. Smiley smile
