Alexa, what does that include? Here in the TC about $600 would include the use of a private, gorgeous location specifically designed for boudoir photography, time, talent, makeup, hair, edited high resolution files (around 20) and reprint release.

You definitely want to use someone who knows what they're doing when it comes to this. This is a specialized field and will be more expensive IMO.

Oh man, I WISH air could find one for $500! Here in Seattle, you're looking at $750-$1200.

    $500 seems cheap! Smiley smile

If it included the reprint release I would definitely spend the $500 it includes just the shoot each picture is around $60-90 dollars each to be released. I definitely understand why the cost is so high, I'm just a cheap person haha

I just did a "free shoot" with CYS (celebrate your sexy) My photographer was AMAZING - but when i got the price list I was like OMG!!! guess i'm getting that one free picture and that's all because for just 1 its $99

I have a appointment booked to review & purchase pics, i'm going to see if i can just get a CD at a reasonable price but i'm not getting my hopes up

Ha! $500 is fantastic. A good one in my area is over $1k. You want cheaper than that? You'll get what you pay for, that's for sure.

We're already spending a lot on the wedding as it is, and being that I am graduating from grad school in a couple weeks... I don't have a lot of extra money. So I figured it would be a good one year anniversary gift.

I got married in the Philly area and I used Unforgettable Expressions for my boudoir photos and for my wedding photos. They did the boudoir in place of the engagement photos that were included in our package (since we'd already had them done by someone else) so I can't speak to what the price would be for them alone but they did an amazing job. They're a husband-wife team but the wife (Lorraine) take the boudoir photos and she makes you completely comfortable.

Do you have a photog for the wedding? Have you checked with them to see if you could get some sort of a bundle discount by doing it through them? My photographer is giving me a boudoir shoot at her home closer to the wedding for $150.00 (one hour of photos).

Alexa, I'd try to find a different photographer, or see if you could negotiate the digital release of some of your photos for a set fee that you feel comfortable with. Like PP said, you get what you pay for, but I feel like you can probably find one for a similar cost that includes the photo release (mine is $650 in a different city and includes 20).

@kmess I'll definitely look into them!

I definitely understand I get what I pay for and I would be willing to pay the $500 if I could get the prints for a more reasonable price! I'll have to keep looking! My photog doesn't do them otherwise I would definitely use them!
