Both parents walking down the aisle?

Anyone else doing this? I don't know why, but my mom has ask me if she could walk me down the aisle alongside my dad. It's strange to me. Maybe because she basically raised me alone (along with my sibs) after my parents divorce? Who knows...but I'm not sure about it. I just can't help but picture me...

Maybe because she basically raised me alone (along with my sibs) after my parents divorce? Who knows...but I'm not sure about it. I just can't help but picture me fumbling down the aisle, trying to keep my bouquet down, holding onto both parents, while trying to walk in my dress in heels. UGH. If I shoot her down on this one, it will be the second thing I've shot down from her...the first being a song she wanted to sing to me...a song I loathe.

Has anyone seen this done non-awkwardly?

One of the family member did this at her wedding and it was beautiful! Who say only the father gets to give away the daughter? I will be doing the same at my wedding.

    I agree with Emmy.

I'm having both parents walk me; I'm thinking while I hold my bouquet they each kind of just take an elbow.
