Both Boutonnieres & pocket fold or just one?

Nessa, on July 30, 2017 at 10:41 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

If just one, which one?

Groomsmen will be wearing navy and bridesmaids will be wearing half sequin/half chiffon rose gold dresses.

Guys will be wearing these bow ties, so do I give them a sequin pocket square to match or boutonnieres or both? I also have the option of the bow in the comments.

I've googled but find mixed opinions. What the popular opinion around WW?

These are more matte and just sequin in the middle. I've considered these for groomsmen and the all sequin one for best man, since my MOH is in all sequin?

Love the sequined dresses, but think less is more for the ties. (The all sequins ones make me think show choir rather than wedding party.)

Our guys are having both pocket square and boutonnière -- but the colors are pretty subdued, so they need some pizzazz.

I agree with pammat. Less is more for such sparkly/fun styles.

How do the groomsmen feel about the bow tie options/pocket folds?

Their opinions could help make your decision.

@kayla I wish they'd have one! My FH is VERY laid back and by default, his friends are too. They basically, don't care. Lol

I see what you guys mean! So maybe definitely keep it to the more matte bowties.

So then, boutonnieres and pocket square or just one? I can make the pocket squares match the bottom fabric of the dresses, as opposed to the sequin.

Pocket squares would be cute, they would be matchy but not overpowering

My FH wanted both so that's what he got lol our colors are basic though- burgundy tie and pocket square with navy tux for FH and navy suits for BM and GM.

I would definitely advise not to add sequins to the men's attire. I would do the color of the BM dresses so in your case blush?

I also think sequins on the men will be too much. I am a fan of just a pocket square. Boutonnieres remind me of prom.
