Booking a dj

We are in Denver, we spent $1,100 on our DJ and he was there for 6 hours. I'd come up with a list of what you want from the DJ (ceremony music, microphones for speeches, uplighting, etc) first.

Our DJ comes with an emcee, paid $1550, but that included an extra $150 for a monogram for the dance floor. We chose this particular DJ because he already had spreadsheets for us to fill out with all the songs for each event, songs to not play, and a timeline for the wedding. He also said they coordinate with the photographer to make sure all events at the wedding are captured before the photographer leaves. Also, in case one gets sick or is unable to attend, the other is able to DJ/emcee the event which is why they always travel in pairs to weddings. The presentation was just great overall.

We got ours for a heck of a deal at $595 for 5 hours. Everyone else in our area is between $1,000 and $1,400

We got our dj for $850 for 6 hours. He is just doing the reception, no ceremony with basic music no fancy lighting or anything.

About $2000 but he's awesome and I can't wait for the wedding

One thing I'm most excited about is my awesome DJ!! We booked him @$995 ($200 off) over black friday weekend.

We spent $700 for 5 hours in the NC mountains.
