Booking a Block of Rooms - confused about this.

Ok so I really don't know what it entails to "book" a block of rooms. How does this work? Do you pay anything? Do your guests get a better deal? How do you know how many rooms to put aside until RSVPs come back? What if not all of the blovk gets booked, do you get charged. Any help or explanation...

Any help or explanation would be great Smiley smile

Be sure to check out JC Room Blocks for help booking a block of hotel rooms for your wedding! My husband and I used JC Room Blocks to book hotel rooms for our September 2014 wedding. I believe they now charge a one-time $30 fee, but it’s worth it to not have to worry about booking a block of hotel rooms for the wedding. Jenny is amazing and super helpful! They research hotels in your area, negotiate prices and amenities for each, and then send you a summary of your hotel options. They work with any price and try to find amenities that you are interested in. We received a king suite for the night after our wedding for the same low price as the discounted rooms for all of our guests! Once you pick the hotel, JC Room Blocks handles ALL the rest – setting up the block, monitoring reservations, sending you weekly updates, and they offer to send email reminders and invitation inserts as well! It is definitely worth looking into this service so you can have one less wedding planning task to worry about!

Like everyone else I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend JC Room Blocks. Jenny is a dream to work with and makes everything so easy. You don't have to do a thing! She takes care of it, and it is FREE. I can't sing the praises of JC Room Blocks enough. Simply the best.

Looks like I'm preaching to the choir, but I'll put in one more recommendation for JC Room Blocks. I was getting married in a small town, and they still managed to come up with several options for where my guests could stay. Anytime I had a problem understanding something or contacting the hotel we ended up choosing, they stepped in and took over until everything was resolved. It was so nice to have a bunch of my out of town guests at the same hotel so that we could see each other the morning after my wedding at breakfast! Before booking with JC Room Blocks, I looked into Jetaport, another company that seems bigger and to have less of a personal touch. I thought they might be able to get lower prices, but Jenny was able to get lower prices than they were! She seemed to care specifically about my wedding, almost like a small town vendor. Excellent experience and I would highly recommend to any future brides!

    I used http://www.roomblocker.com

It was free and they handled everything from start to finish. One less thing to have to worry about! Also, I appreciated that they gave a great booking experience for my guests.
