Bold Fall Color Palette (wip)

8Bitbek, on August 7, 2019 at 3:36 PM Posted in Style and Décor 1 14
The color cards on the top were what I had grabbed back when I still worked in the paint department that I liked for my colors, and the swatches on the bottom are the closest translation I could find for fabric. Thoughts? I love the gold, but I wish it were a touch darker like the color card. I also don't know if the dark pink and burgundy are too close together or not. I wanted a pink closer to the color card, but the watermelon swatch from azazie was too... Pepto Bismol.

Are you planning on using all of those colors because that seems like a lot of different colors?

Bold Fall Color Palette (wip) 2

Your colors are similar to mine above. I would narrow your color palette a bit.

I am using an antique ivory rose to add lightness to my bouquets. The moss green with just be the greenery in the florals. And we are only doing gold for metal objects like tables, chairs, and centerpiece stands. And my girls will be in red.

Some of them will be accents in the palette as opposed to what will be worn.

Okay I would recommend narrowing it down just a bit because that is a lot to look at all at once. I also think it will make coordinating stuff a lot harder. I personally wouldn't have more than 4 colors. We had 2 primary colors and 2 accent colors.

I'm not a fan of the two middle colors, the lighter red and orange. That would narrow it down to just 4. I actually like that lighter gold vs the darker paint swatch

I think it would also look nice if you eliminated the two farthest left, the darkest color and the red right next to it. If you're attached to the bright pop the orange gives Smiley smile this would also narrow it down for you!

I'm really not an orange person and am not the biggest fan of yellow, but I like the 3 left colors and the green!

I think if you are going for a boho colorful vibe with the right decor and venue this could totally work. I actually love the middle colors and think the outside colors tone them down. If you did these colors I would pick neutral or greenery tones for decor and floral. Or the other way around! I love the pallet though!

After consulting with one of my bridesmaids and picking a style of a dress, I think I might be ditching these colors and going more jewel toned.

I figure I can still achieve bold colors that way without it getting too busy.

I agree! There are tons of inspiration boards for jewel toned weddings on pinterest.

I think it looks great If you’re trying to stick with traditional fall colors. I also like the idea of using all of those colors as dresses. Actually, I can totally envision a really modern look for a wedding using all of those colors (only as dresses, flowers and a few splashes in other areas) against all black or all white. Yes, call me crazy! Lol.. But I’m all for unique and unexpected wedding ideas.

I may still end up using some of the colors to complement the jewel tones for the men's ties and pocket squares, but I wound up scrapping most of the colors in the picture. Smiley xd lol
