Bodysuit on or off before makeup and hair?

So in wearing a bodysuit or a mesh shirt under my wedding dress for modesty but do I put it on and wear my getting ready button up over it or wait and put it on after hair and makeup. One way I could ruin makeup and the other I could ruin shirt. Any thoughts?

How thick is the robe/cover up thing you’re wearing? Maybe find a thicker one? The point of wearing a robe or smock or whatever is to not get stuff under it.
