misty, on December 7, 2012 at 1:45 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

Have any of you ladies gotten a body wrap done to lose quick inches? If so, how was the result? Thanks

I did an herbal body wrap the day before my friend's wedding because we did a pampering day at the spa and it was one of the options. It was nice and relaxing, but I didn't lose any inches/weight at all.

I went to a small bridal show one time where they were allowing brides to try wraps for free and the owner allowed me to as well, even though I was there as a vendor! I lost two inches in the hour or two that I had it on. Not even joking! I haven't tried them since, but I've been meaning to. I'm not sure what the main website is (I think it's kind of like AVON or Pampered Chef where you can be a seller for the production) but I do have the link she sent me in a follow up email.

    www.ClemWraps.MyItWorks.com

My computer gave me a warning when I clicked that it might not be the right site, but it is.

Not something I would pay for, but I had one once as a gift. The only inches I lost were because she pulled the measuring tape tighter on the "after" measurements. Don't believe the hype!

I bought some industrial strength suit of armor body shapewear and got the same result. Plus I can wear my suit of armor after the wedding also.

The results are temporary because all it does is wring the water out of you.

I did just 5 before my dress fitting last simply because im still loosing weight and wanted that water weight gone, it is temporary . I also bought 10 to use before the wedding. The experience is soothing for me, especially with it being winter to get all warm and cozy : ) I went to a salon did formostar. They claim it burns 900-1400 kcal which if true would help with a calorie deficit most woman need about 1400 cal per day if you want to lose 2 lbs per week you need a deficit of 500 cal. I did see inches come off but I also followed my wraps with my intensive workouts. If nothing else I'm glad I did it because its relaxing and gives me an hour to be alone in quiet every other day : ) I'm looking forward to my next round!

Now that I'm reading through the other comments I believe we are talking about different things LOL formostar your hooked up to a machine and a bunch of pads heats up usually they set me at 80-95 but it goes all the ya up to 120 degrees. You do need at least 5 sessions to loose a few inches. I have never e tried the wraps the ladies above are talking about but FH was talking about a friend who sells them and his wife claimed they worked. Eh like I said for me it's more to relax : )
