Blood on Ring?

Erin, on September 18, 2019 at 10:39 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15
Luckily my ring isn’t anything fancy at the moment, and wouldn’t be a big deal to replace ($9). But I had a really bad nose bleed this morning and without thinking I used my left hand to prevent dripping while looking for a paper towel. I just looked at my ring and noticed that despite washing my hands with the ring on about 3 times, one of the side stones is still pretty red and it won’t come off. The stone is CZ, does anyone know of a way to get it unstained without replacing the whole thing?

Boil a pot of water, add some dish soap and take a soft bristle toothbrush and a pair of rubber tip tweezers and brush away. It should come off

Bring it to a jeweler I guarantee that a good professional clean will get it out!

It’s a biohazard and most jewelers would have to deny cleaning it.

Peroxide usually gets out Blood. Drop a little in it to see if that takes it out.

    Congratulations and 🍀‼️

If you want something kinda gentle I'd try white vinegar and some baking soda. Or did you try just hand washing it with dish soap and water?

Try your own spit. Sounds gross but it works on clothing. Good luck.

I tried peroxide. I think it worked, but it's dark so I can't really tell. I'll have to check in he morning.

What does the bottom of your ring look like? Not the band part but what’s underneath? Some times if there’s a more open back you can use a nasal aspirator to push debris out

Peroxide should take it off. You can always use a soft bristle toothbrush to clean it as well. I use just regular hand soap when I do that.

I tried your suggestions, they helped but there’s still a slight pinkish tinge to it, although it’s not as bad as before (most people probably wouldn’t notice) I think I’m either going to have to deal with the off color, or buy a new one D:
