Blocking posters on feed?

Emily, on September 7, 2019 at 9:44 AM Posted in Account Support 0 11
Is there a way to block some posters from showing up in your feed to tailor it more to what you're interested in?

I see some repeat posters that I'd prefer to just hide, it's kind of clogging up my feed but I respect if others are into it.

Unfortunately, that’s not an option that WW offers. I think we can all relate.

Whomp whomp, fair. Maybe I'll take it as a sign that I probably should be out doing something else in the world vs. complaining about forums. Smiley xd

I wish 😑 There’s one poster that is obviously not here for wedding planning, only responds to her own threads. Seems like she’s a paid spammer because she’s always redirecting to an article or some other website/topic (sneaky way to drum up google hits). Bugs the crap out of me when I accidentally click on her posts.

Hey there. There isn't a way to block someone else's posts, but if someone is sharing links that aren't appropriate for WW or seem to be trying to direct views to their own site, you can flag the discussion or write to community@weddingwire.com for us to look into it.

I’ve reported every post of hers I’ve come across. The kind of spamming she’s doing is sneaky and is meant to bump certain search results to the top. I work in IT. Companies often pay real people to do this because it will fly under spam algorithms.

Then let's definitely talk more about this. If you'll email the community team with a little detail and even some links we'll review the member.
