Blended family readings

Meaghan, on December 3, 2020 at 12:08 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 2

Hi - does anyone have any good suggestions for readings (non-religious) for blended families. We have four children, alll late teens and 20s. We would like a reading for the ceremony that talks to the creation of the new family and about the kids relationship. We are good with unconventional sources, one of our readings is a quote from the Obergefell SCOTUS opinion. BTW the kids all get along great and are our attendants in the wedding. The reading would be read by another family member. Thanks!

Hi Meaghan! "I Love My Family So Much" by Filoi Hemopo is a popular choice, and so is "Family Comes Together" by Glaedr the Poet. The song "The Voyage" by Johnny Duhan, sung by Christy Moore would make a great reading! 💕

There's also a sweet and silly Dr. Seuss quote you could use: “We’re all a little weird, and life’s a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.”- Dr. Seuss
