Blankets for outdoor reception

Amy, on September 11, 2021 at 7:02 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5

I am getting married November 5th, 2022 in VA. Our ceremony will be outside and the reception is indoor/outdoor, however we will have corn hole, smores bar/fire pit, and other activities outside. The weather during that time of year ranges from 60-70 degrees during the day, but can get chilly later in the evening. The venue also has 5 outdoor heaters. I want everyone to be comfortable so I will be putting all of this info on our wedding invitations/website so they can bring layers if needed.

I would like to have some blankets for guests. I've seen some "To have and to hold in case you get cold" ideas on Pinterest. Does anyone know where to purchase blankets in bulk that aren't too pricey?

Closer to Christmas time I’ve seen fleece throws at Walmart for like $2-$3 a piece. I think I bought one a few years ago and it was a decent size. Not sure if they’re all Christmas themed/colors

Honestly this sounds like an amazing way to celebrate especially so close to the holiday season. I would look into buying in bulk it may help save on the price a bit

I'm doing the same! My wedding is in 2 months so I've been collecting throughout the year. I had some luck at Walmart for a bit, they have blankets that are $2.50 but I haven't seen any in a while (check during spring/summer). I got a few batches from Groupon and the rest we are ordering off of Amazon. Groupon sold some that came in bulk, like a 4, 8 and 24 pack I think. They were out of 24 packs so I just ordered a bunch of 4 packs and the blankets came out to about $3 a piece. If you google "blankets under $5" a good amount comes up! That's what I did and was able to find enough.
