Black & White Spring Vow Renewal

Brittnee, on October 26, 2020 at 4:36 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 6
Hi,
My husband and I are renewing our vows in the spring and we haven’t decided on colors yet. I LOVE the look of black and white with some gold. Does that seem odd for a spring wedding?
If so, do you have any ideas of colors?

I don't think that would be odd! I actually think those colors sound great together. Colors do not need to match the season at all.

I think any color would do. We are renewing our vows in 2022, on our silver anniversary. I may put some silver color in some details.

Those colors sound wonderful! You don’t have to stick with the typical seasonal colors. Anything is fair game! We’re getting married in April which are typically pastels which I HATE. Our colors are a deep red, charcoal with cream mixed in. He’s a firefighter so those colors are his must haves.

Black and white is so timeless and classic, it is fine any time of year. If you want to add a pop of color, you can do so through flowers and other decor.

Black and white is very classic! I don't think it has a time frame when it's best. I'm doing black and white with silver and it's timeless! So I say go for it!!

Those are our colors too for a late June wedding! We are going to do mostly white (white table cloths, signage, plates, candles) with pops of black (black chairs, black typography) some hints of gold sprinkled throughout and eucalyptus for some greenery. I was worried about it also feeling too dark and moody for that time of year, but my goal is by having most everything be a crisp white the black won’t overwhelm. Oh, also I don’t know if you are having bridesmaids or not, but I am putting mine in cropped black jumpsuits with some black block heels! Hopefully then nobody is too hot and they can truly wear them again!
