Birthday presents for your future spouse

All the time! FH typically buys concert tickets for special occasions instead of a physical gift.

This year I got my FH tickets to Dane Cook. We both love him and had never seen him. It was a great night!

Our birthdays are a month apart and right after Christmas. (I’m two days after and he’s later in January.) we plan a little trip for each other. Last year for his 40th I took him to the grand canyon. This year since we’re in wedding saving mode we’re doing a joint bday trip.

We almost always do this. Usually for FH’s birthday we do some kind of brewery tour and a family weekend trip. For my birthday we almost always get tickets to a Patriots game. This year for my birthday we’ll be at Disney so we made reservations at one of the nicer restaurants in Epcot!

Depends on the year honestly lol.
Most of the time we just go out to dinner.

Definitely. One time we took a trip to Maine and other times we've gone to concerts. To me, experiences and memories are better than things that will just collect dust

For the first bday we spent together I surprised him with a whole trip to New Orleans. I must have been crazy aha we weren't together for that long but I just really wanted us to have an adventure and to give him a grand experience

We tend to do activities for our birthdays with some small presents sprinkled in too. This year we went to a Washington Capitals game for FHs birthday, and Harry Potter World for mine.

Every year as a combined Christmas/Valentines Day I get us a cabin at our favorite camping spot (we usually go Easter weekend). FH usually gets me a gift card to takes me to dinner, but he doesn't really like 'stuff' and he's hard to shop for, so I go for this trip, which he looooves.

We either do outings or new experiences for gifts (ie kiteboarding lessons, musicals, trips to Disneyland, casino night + money, concerts, hockey games, etc)

Yes I definitely prefer an experience over a physical gift for birthdays. Since meeting my future spouse my birthdays have been more of an adventure. My sister think it’s weird though that I would prefer going on a road trip rather than getting a physical gift🙄😂.

I've surprised him with overnight beach trips for his birthday instead of buying him a present to unwrap and he is just as, if not more appreciative when I plan an entire trip instead of buying him something. It's a lot of effort and most people recognize and appreciate that.

Yes last year I got us tickets to see his favorite comedian and we went out to dinner!
