If you’re wanting different styles with the same color, Birdy Grey is the way to go. We ordered from both and Azazie’s were all off just a few shades. So all of my bridesmaids got Birdy Grey dresses and they’re stunning. They also shipped them super fast after ordering.

The only requirement for the same dye lot was that everyone ordered within 24 hours of each other through the showroom. My bridesmaids each picked different styles. You could do custom sizing or standard sizing, it won't affect the dye lot.

They actually have to be the same style as well for them to use the same dye lot. Once I found that out, I just told my bridesmaids to order whenever.

Unless they changed that recently, I'm pretty sure it doesn't have to be the same style. My bridesmaids all ordered different dresses and they were all in the same dye lot (except for one, who ordered a dress in a different fabric than the others, and I was notified by email that her dress would be in a different lot). It's been almost two years since they ordered their dresses, so it's entirely possible that they changed their policy since then.

Here is a line from their email they sent me when my bridesmaids ordered their dresses in January 2020. If their policy is still the same, different styles in the same fabric and color should be fine.

I just went to the website and this is what it says now: Our Dye Lot Policy has changed! If your party orders a variety of styles, even if it is the same fabric, they may not be made in the same dye lot. Slight color differences may exist between different styles since some styles can only be made at select production locations.

We recommend everyone select the same style if it is important all dresses are made in the same dye lot. If anyone in your party orders a different style, even if it is the same fabric, it may not be made with the rest of the dresses in your party and there may be a slight color variance.

You're welcome! One of my bridesmaids was in a wedding in May and she said they all ordered different styles at different times and you couldn't tell a difference in the color, so fingers crossed you won't be able to tell with mine either! I told them to order long dresses in chiffon fabric in the color twilight. I figured having them all in the same fabric would lessen the chance of having a noticeable color variation. What color did you choose?!

I'm confident that everything will turn out great for your bridesmaids dresses! Especially since you did the same color and fabric - regardless of whether doing the same dye lot or not, the same fabric and color should really eliminate any noticeable difference. Twilight is a good color! My bridesmaids all chose chiffon dresses (except for one, who has mostly chiffon with some lace, which caused the fabric difference) in the Ocean Blue color.

I stand corrected: Azazie has recently changed their policy on the dye lots (my bridesmaids ordered their dresses almost two years ago, so I wasn't aware of the policy update). The dresses do have to be the same style in order to get the same dye lot, but it shouldn't matter if you choose custom sizing or regular sizing!

Thank you so much! I remember seeing ocean blue when I was looking for a color, but they were about to retire it at that time, so I automatically eliminated it. It's pretty!

Oh yes, I did see that message, but I was hoping doing the showroom thing would still lump them in the same dye lot. I have samples on the way so if they're all somewhat similar in color I'm going to trust that the same will happen when it's time to actually order.

Also, good point about ordering in the same fabric too! I'll keep that in mind when I'm further in the process.
