Biotin - Natures Bounty

Amanda, on July 6, 2019 at 8:10 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 7

I just started (today) taking the Nature's Bounty 10k mcg Biotin for hair, skin and nails and going to start taking powdered collagen in a few weeks. Has anyone taken this route for self care? I'm 11 months out from the wedding and just in general want better HSN.

I have for years, even before getting engaged. I really like it!

Good brand, nice regimen. I think you will be pleased with the results. I've done this before but I also took 1tsp of MSM powder each day and my hair grew more than it had before.

Nature's bounty wrecked my skin, which is actually common with TOO much biotin. Make sure you take it with a bunch of water, and that can minimize negative side effects. I also noticed that my hair was shedding a lot when I stopped taking it. If you've taken boitin before you're probably fine, though! It's just that, for me, vitamins tend to do more harm than good.

I took Nature's Bounty and got no results. Just consider an alkaline diet (plant based), drink plenty of water and herbal teas. You'll be fine.

I did for awhile, but I found biotin actually made me breakout more. I googled it, and read some people have bad skin reactions to biotin even if it's working for hair and nails. I coupled it with a strict at home skincare routine and I was happier. I used biotin w/ collagen for 12 months to improve my hair and nails, then switched to Alani Nu balance for the last 6 months to help with my hormonal acne.

I just started taking it and got my cycle at the same time, so I'm currently breaking out also. I'm hoping it's my cycle causing the acne and not the biotin!! I will look into the Alani Nu Balance and keep an eye on the skin issues biotin may or may not be causing. I haven't seen any other results yet but I've only been taking it for a few days.
