Can you go to an event where they are working? Do they have a website with videos? Do they have references from other couples? My ex was a bilingual DJ (Spanish/English) and he had all these options so people could tell if they wanted to hire him. You might be able to find them at bridal expos (mine did a couple each year) or through word of mouth. Ask your other vendors too if they have any recommendations.

Hi! I'm in the same boat - trying to find the right bilingual (Spanish/English) DJ in the Chicago suburbs. When you search DJs on WW there's actually a filter you can set to only show bilingual options, so that's been helpful to compare services and prices as there are tons out there, but ultimately we are choosing based on our venue's recommendation. We met with one last night and actually sitting down and talking with him was so helpful vs just doing online research. I have anxiety but our whole meeting was a giant sigh of relief for me, we got along great and he has tons of experience, and we are most likely going to hire him! I would see if your venue has recommendations and go from there, and definitely set up an in person meeting (or at least a phone call) if possible. You want be comfortable to trust them to help everything run smoothly. Best of luck to you!

Hi Jessica! Welcome to the WeddingWire Community! Smiley ring I think you should check out:

    - Dj PatuFiesta

    - BuenaBeats

    - Luniks Entertainment

If you haven't already, you should also search in our Vendor's Section and look through our list of Bilingual Djs in Illinois. You can filter the results further, on the left-hand side, according to distance, price, genre, and other services. Good luck!

I am struggling too. I would want the DJ to MC as well. I need someone who can be upbeat without just focusing on one side of the family.

None of the ones you mentioned have actual videos of their work. I do like that they have testimonials and are certified but, is there anyway to find actual footage of them MCing to get an idea of what their vibe is like?

Hi Sofia! You can check out footage from the following DJs here:

    - The Fiesta Pros Video Footage

    - Buena Beats Videos

    - Lunik's Entertainment Video

If the videos still do not give you a better idea of their vibe, I would recommend contacting them directly to find out more about their capabilities and services. They might be able to send you specific clips! I hope everything works out! Good luck!
