bhldn dresses?

Carol, on February 4, 2018 at 8:32 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 13
Okay- I’ve heard good things about BHLDN! My dream dress is on their site but it’s out of my price range! Does anyone know this site and know if their dresses ever go on sale or if they send out promo codes to those who sign up for their emails?? This is the dress ☺️ :

Follow up: if they ever do sales or promo codes is it enough to get this $1,250 dress under my $1,000 budget?

Have you looked into stores first for a dress like this or only on this site? I’ve seen similar styles at David’s Bridal and in certain bridal boutiques. If you haven’t looked around yet I’d check first. You can tell David’s your budget is $1,000 max and show them that as an inspiration photo.

Their dresses will go on sale once they're about to go off the site, and I think they have sales every once and a while as well. I've been signed up for their e-mails for a while and I don't know if I've ever gotten a promo code.

If you have time to take your time looking then just shop the sales! Take your picture with you and you will find your dress! My dress was almost $3,000 I watched and waited for sales and just bought it for a little over $500.00!

Promos are hard to come by. I first found my bridesmaid dresses on their site, but ended up going directly to the designers website to search for deals. I ended up having my girls purchase their stuff off of Brideside, and got 20% off. The things bhldn sells are high quality...allbeit expensive!

I’ve noticed they really only put their dresses on sale when they get their new collections (Jan & aug) and the promo codes they usually run are just for free shipping unfortunately!

Okay thank you everyone- I wasn’t sure but that helps put my mind at ease knowing it most likely won’t go on sale- let the dress hunt begin Smiley winking

I got my dress at the BHLDN store in Carlsbad. I’d really recommend trying it on in person if you’re anywhere near a location. The dress I ended up with is gorgeous but I’m a street size 6 and the dress was ordered in a 10. They carry several designers so the fit just depends on the line.
They don’t really do traditional sales. The popular dresses never go on sale & the ones that do are the ones being discontinued. I put mine on a credit card that I got cash back on so I felt like I was getting some kind of deal haha. But the prices of their dresses are really reasonable considering the quality and the fact that they’re cheaper than buying some of the special occasion dresses from Anthropologie

I know- but the budget is like $1,000 with everything, shoes, accessories, veil, etc... my maxed out dress budget would have been $1,000 for a dream dress like this so $1,200 without the extras is just too much 😪

Have you tried looking at secondhand bridal sites? BHLDN has my dream dress, too, but it’s a bit more than I was hoping to pay. I’ve looked at Tradesy, Nearly Newleywed, Preowned Wedding Dresses, and Still White daily for mine.

Also, have you tried the dress on in person? I thought I loved a dress they had online, but I didn’t love it when I tried it on in person and I ended up loving a dress I didn’t even pick out!

Not sure if the dress you want is on there (no time to look yet) but I just got an email that they have new markdowns in their sale section! So I’d check it out
