I purchased a dress at BHLDN on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. They only recommend tailors in the city, but I live in Morris County, NJ. Has anyone had a BHLDN dress altered in NJ that they may recommend? Or if not a BHLDN dress, can anyone recommend a trusted tailor for formal wear?

BHLDN bride here! I also can't recommend anyone personally, but I used Yelp to look up different wedding gown tailors. I used the reviews and looked and got feedback from 3 different tailors. Best of luck.

I absolutely love BHLDN. What dress did you get? I would ask local bridal shops, if they would alter your dress. Just find someone with a lot of experience altering wedding gowns.

I found a small shop in my town in West Milford, NJ. She seems great, but I haven't had the alterations yet so I can't really say. If you're interested, I can give you her info. It's not extremely far from you.
