Beyonce's "Halo"

Linda, on August 20, 2009 at 9:29 AM Posted in Planning 0 16

I was thinking of maybe having the bridesmaids walk down to that song...the piano version though..either that or something else..maybe as guests are coming in, it could be played...i just know right now i want this song in my wedding..it is soo beautiful! So what do you ladies think?

It might be a little fast for a processional...maybe for your recessional as the music is a little more upbeat? I think piano would sound great, it would also be amazing if you could find a string quartet or violin or cello version!

What if it were played at a slow pace?

I would have to agree with Lauren... try using it as the recessional. It's nice to use a different song than people are used to.....

check out Ben Harper's "Happy ever after in your eyes" perfect for a processional.

I think that could work too...do you have a pianist or is a dj playing it?

I am also walking down the aisle to Halo I did a practice run at home going with the drum beat and it worked out fine. What you can do is actually have your bridesmaids do a practice run with the song going down the aisle with both slow and original version and see which one fits the best. It is a beautiful song.

I think it would be beautiful! Here's an example of it on the piano:

Anytime you can bring something unique into your wedding, that element of surprise, your guests will remember it even more. The piano version above is beautiful..would slow it down a lot as, remember, your bridesmaids probably know this song, so although it is playing at a slower pace, they are used to hearing it a lot faster and will be inclined to sing it in their head and walk to the beat they know.

    Best wishes.

OMG I love that song! I was thinking about doing that for a first dance with me and my FH, but we ended up picking another song but that will definently be played somewhere in our wedding. Have you thought about having that as your first dance?

I'm also a die-hard fan of Beyonce Future Mrs. Singer. I have all of her music!!! Linda, I agree with Michelle J. in that you should have your bridesmaids do a practice run and see if it will work for you. It is definitely a beautiful song.
