We are currently between two venues. One is within price range however the aesthetic of the reception is really not my style. It is super glam with a lot of gold throughout and chiavari chairs (which we can swap out). I find that the glam looks tacky and a lot of the pre-existing decorations can not be removed. Another site, which is $7K more has the more woodsy feel and neutral color palette. The downside is they have a ridiculous pricing system where everything is charged for (i.e. $1,000 for tablecloths, $100 per heater vs. $50-75 I have seen at most places). They also tack on a $5K service charge in addition to the industry standard of 22% for the service fee. Both are all inclusive. What would you choose? Should I just suck it up for the glam one? Very tired of venue shopping
