Best Wedding Organizer?

HowCo Industries, on January 31, 2018 at 7:47 AM Posted in Planning 0 7
Well the time is soon upon me to get off Pinterest and start the nuts and bolts of planning. I've heard The Knot has a good planner but was wondering who has gotten one, what they think of it and are they actually using it?

I have that! I love it! It has alot of important information in it and it allows you too write in all the details. I also got those clear sleeves to put vendor contracts in and I stuck it in my knot planner so everything is in one place.

I got one at Michaels that has been great; I can't find it on their website but you probably could in the store. It has a folder in the back with deep pockets and a little plastic pouch for storage. I like that there are tons of note/idea pages in the back (guest list, table arrangements, dress information, style ideas, etc.). It got us thinking about a lot of things and gave me a space to put all of my wedding thoughts on paper without losing them. Also has monthly and weekly calendar views -also great. And it was $11.

I found a good old-fashioned excel spreadsheet to be sufficient. I had my master list of to do items with due dates and created separate tabs for vendors (one tab for photographers, one for florists, one for bakers, etc.) I used Pinterest to hold inspiration pictures of flowers for my florist

It also made it easy to pass on my research to others. In fact, my. I-worker is getting married in the same venue I did and he and his fiancée really appreciated my research and to do list..

I am using the budget spreadsheet from "A practical wedding" and then in the notes section I have links to different sites or details about what that cost will be.

I was given theknot planner as an enticement from a venue I looked at, and honestly, I opened it once or twice, and that was it. I didn't really need a binder, I kept an electronic folder of all my inquires, contracts, etc... Plus my venue package included a dedicated planner (as in an actual human) to keep me on track.

I built an excel budget from a downloadable template. Keeps it all in one place and all the per person pricing changes as I update my guest count 🤓. I have a few hard copy things— photographer contract, invitation samples — I kept them all in a magazine holder in my little home office. Paperless is good!

I also deleted all my “extra” Pinterest pins and put my main 6-7 inspiration photos in one board for easy, and cohesive access!
