Best wedding dress belly slimmers?

on May 13, 2013 at 9:21 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

I have a somewhat belly form fitting dress and I hate the little lower pooch I have in my lower stomach area from being severely overweight when I was younger. My friends and family keep telling me I am imagining the bulge, but I would feel better with something under my dress to help. I have been debating having a corset made, but my fear is that the lace up back will be obvious or it will somehow show-through. Does anyone have any recommendations for stomach-flattening shape wear? The closer to a corset, the better! I'd really like something that adds shape, but most importantly flattens the stomach area. Thanks! Smiley smile

I bet you look great but if you are worried, maybe check out the shapewear section at Walmart.

What about wearing spanks and then shapewear that looks like a corset or something, or you can get a corset

I've got some spanx, but I also broke down and bought an Ardyss Body Magic girdle thing. It's got a million hooks, and is a little awkward to wear, but it works AMAZINGLY.

I second to Savannah, I have them in Black and Tan, and much cheaper than the ones they sell at DB

What about a Squeem? I have a little belly from having babies and NOTHING flattens my stomach like a Squeem does. Not even Spanx will do the trick. I'm not sure how it will work with your dress though.

ARDYSS body shapers are THE BOMB. my aunt is a distributor ... or was.. not sure anymore, anyway my WHOLE FAMILY has at least one lol they seriously work AMAZINGLY.. but are a little pricey. they last forever too!! I have two diff ones.. the body magic, but its not good for strapless dresses and the high one that goes from ur thighs to ur boobs.. dont remember the name. anyway i've had both for *counts* like 7yrs and they're still as good as new!

My dress is somewhat form fitting on my waist and tummy area, but it has a layer of lace over the actual dress, so I'm hoping you won't see anything through it. Squeem reviews seem to be good, so I'm thinking that just might be the way to go! Smiley smile

FinallyDoingIt, do you have an email address? I would love to show you my dress and see what you think!

MrsNrs, I've been reading a lot on the ARDYSS shapers and seeing mixed reviews. I was all for it until I started seeing what some people are posting Smiley sad
