Best way to weekly clean white gold and diamond ring?

Hey guys! I found this blog post and wanted to try it on my engagement ring, but I’m nervous because it’s white gold and I wasn’t sure if the Windex would hurt the rhodium plating. I want to start cleaning my ring once a week. How do you clean your white gold rings?

I use a gem jewelry cleaner - can be bought just about anywhere. I use it to clean my engagement ring and diamond necklace

I take mine back to the jeweler to be cleaned, they clean it free since I bought it from them. I hadn't had it too long (about a year), so I haven't gotten into ways to clean it myself.

A few drops of dish soap in a cup will do the same thing (just drop it into the cup with dish soap and warm water for like 15 minutes and then rinse it off.). Also, you do not need to clean your ring weekly. Maybe once every 4-6 months. My mom and uncle have been in the jewelery business for years. I don't think anyone would recommend weekly cleaning. If anything, make sure to take your ring off when you wash your hands/put lotion on/ etc. to help keep the sparkle.

I was cleaning my ring weekly when I was waiting tables. It got pretty dirty. Now I clean it about once a month. I just bought a jewelry cleaner for diamonds. I also take it to the jeweler to get cleaned and checked every 3-4 months (they recommend 6) but they’re not cleaning or inspecting due to covid. My mom uses winded though, but her ring is platinum.

This is what I do. Mine's antique, so I have to be extra careful. Use a SOFT BRISTLED toothbrush. It's amazing how sparkley you can get it!

I have white gold and diamond also. For weekly cleaning, I use a drop of Dawn soap first and then rinse. Then I drop it in the jewelry cleaner overnight. Slightly brush it the next day. It’s very sparkly. I’ve been doing this for over a 1 1/2 yrs.

I bought an electronic jewelry cleaner, and I really like it! It was $40 on Amazon and the cleaning solution was $10. Before I was taking it monthly to our jewelry (cleans it for free) but now I clean it at home every two weeks or so and it looks great. I still take it in every few months to have it checked to make sure the jewels aren't coming loose though.
