best skin care system

Jennifer, on May 3, 2016 at 8:52 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 29

I am trying to find a face wash, day moisturizer, an eye cream and a night time hydrating moisturizer that helps with winkles and fine lines (not only for the wedding but to use on a daily basis. Any suggestions about products, what does everyone use and how long have you been using it.

I use witch hazel as a toner/cleanser. I also use Lush's Angels on Bare Skin as an exfoiliant.

I use Clean and Clear facewash, Mary Kay moisturizer, and Clean and Clear astringent. I think the answers you get here are going to vary WIDELY!! Everyone's skin is different! For me it was trial and error to figure out what worked.

ACK... get ready for my novel. We were discussing this a couple of week's ago!

Honestly and truly, Paula's Choice skincare products are life changing!!!!

There are different cleansers, moisturisers, toners, and exfoliants.

I'm going to tell you this now.... whether or not you have acne, fine lines, or both, or even just want to prevent raging... you NEED to be exfoliating! Not with a cloth or sponge, but with an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) or beta-hydroxy acid (BHA). AHA is more for those concerned about sun damage and anti-acing. BHA is good for preventing breakouts, cleaning out your pores, and also anti-ageing. I used to have problems breaking out and Paula's Choice BHA is the ONLY thing that worked. It literally saved my skin. I also love the skin balancing toner.

I HIGHLY recommend trying to fit an AHA or BHA product into your skincare routine. You can read tons more info on the Paula's Choice website. Her moisturisers are supposed to be good, but are kind of expensive. I like a moisturising cream by Giovanni, or I just use rosehip oil (AMAZING for the skin). To wash my face I was use raw African black soap.

Honestly.... I'm 34 and people think I'm in college. I don't have one little line on my face and I credit it to starting to use BHA and AHA 8 years ago. Because everyone likes to save $:

If you do want try Paula's Choice , use this link:

    https://goo.gl/bJr6D8

it will activate $10 off in your cart. Then use code PRBHA16 to get free shipping. The entire site is 15% off right now (today is the last day). Annnnnd they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee!! If it doesn't work for you, they will refund it.

Not trying to be a living advertisement... just get excited to share because the stuff is SO AWESOME!

One caveat... Facial sunscreen is a MUST if you use BHA or AHA.

We started talking about Paula's Choice a couple of weeks ago as they make a product that works on "chicken skin" (the red bumps on arms or legs). Also, they publish the "Beauty Bible" so you can read about almost any other drugstore or department store beauty product. Be careful of products for your face with fragrance and irritating ingredients.

I LOVE Angels on Bare Skin @GryffinBride (actually I love everything from Lush- seriously check out their website if you don't have one near you). Their moisturizers are excellent and so gentle. Sometimes their products smell a little "different" but they work so well and most smell really good.

Lush lover over here! Angels on bare skin and more importantly, ultrabland will be the best cleansers for your face. No doubt about it. For a moisturizer, I like Imperialis or Gorgeous from Lush as well. Go in and ask for samples! My skin is so much better since using their products.

You can find products to help prevent future wrinkles, but no products can reverse already formed wrinkles, they form out of muscle contractions under the skin.

If you have dry, sensitive skin, I HIGHLY recommend drugstore brand Cerave.

...and check their website, you can usually get a $1 or $2 off coupon!

Go to paulaschoice.com great website to find everything you need. They run tests on almost all the products at pharmacy's and high end stores. The results tell you if it's really worth your money and what's good on your type of skin.

I recently switched to a company called beauty counter. They are amazing! They have an awesome face wash and night Cream that is the best I've ever used. If you have t heard of them I highly recommended looking them up. They also are all natural with none of the harsh stuff. Before I started you them I have random breakouts about twice a month. With in a week my complexion was soooo much better and I hardly ever get any acne now.

I use Paula's choice BHA and AHA

For cleanser I use Cereve foaming face wash, adding my Clairsonic a few times a week

For eye cream day/night I use a snail/escargot slime cream made by Faceshop- a Korean brand

For night moisturizer Burts and Bees Sensitive Skin

For daytime moisturizer Chia seed oil free also by Faceshop

For exfoliant I use Cure Aqua Gel- a Japanese peeling gel- great stuff!

I have sensitive oily skin, I break out in acne and redness easily!

Go see an esthetician they can make specific recommendations for you based on your skin. I got facials prior to my wedding and my facialist was able to recommend great products that I still use.

I've been using Belief Aqua Bomb(sold at Sephora) for a few months now as my night time moisturizer and 2 weeks ago I started using it for daytime as well. I'm a huge fan! I purchased the eye cream over the weekend, so I don't really know how it is working yet. I was previously using the Clinique 3 step system, but it just wasn't giving me the results I wanted.
