I’ve seen some pajamas like those (different color) on Romwe for pretty cheap, maybe 10 dollars, but I don’t know where that online retailer ships their merchandise from.

I checked amazon and saw this exact set! It was $16.99 on Prime (depending on the color/size). There were a lot of other options too. I searched: "Button up pajama set"

This is exactly what I wanted, but I gave up looking. I was particular about what I wanted (cotton, not satin and I had particular colors in mind). I searched and searched and couldn't find anything monogrammed for less than $40-$50/set. I ended up going with monogrammed waffle robes instead.

Target may put the short version on sale at the end of the season once it gets colder. Otherwise I'd check Amazon. If you shop at Target pretty often anyway, look into a Red Card (I use mine SO much) because it gives a discount when you use it that would make the pjs cheaper. And if you're already getting home goods, cleaning products, beauty stuff etc from Target they often do promotions where if you buy multiples you can get $5 off gift cards, and they sometimes do promotions during busy times where if you buy via online order/pickup they'll give you a gift card to try to keep you out of the store, so those could be ways to get some discounts to store up for the pj purchase, without adding an expense to your life.

FYI I have the long version of those pjs, my DH got them for me to wear on Christmas morning, and they are so damn comfortable!

I am not sponsored by Target (but I should be)

Haha awesome!!! "But I should be". I ended up buying a $100 gift card on maybe GiftCard Granny or a similar site for $89. Then I used Retail-me-Not and got $5 purchase of $50 or more, so I split my order in 2 to get $10 off....so in total I saved $21. I'd love to wait longer but because I'm buying them in all different sizes I didn't want them to run out of the same color in different sizes and so forth. But if they go on sale soon then I will call to have them reimburse me the difference (their policy allows this)!! So in total I spent $110.94 on 6 PJs, or $18.49 each which I think is reasonable!
