Best Month For Outdoor Wedding - South Florida

Marissa, on December 11, 2016 at 2:49 PM Posted in Planning 0 12

We are planning our wedding to most likely be held at Long Key Natural Area and Nature Center in Davie, FL. What month has the least rain, least humidity, and is not dreadfully hot for an outdoor ceremony? Help!!

December through early April generally. Last year (fall 2015/early 2016) we had crazy weird weather, though, so there's never any guarantee. June through October can be hot, rainy, and/or hurricane season, although plenty of people successfully host outdoor weddings during those months as well (just more risky, in my opinion). We are having an outdoor wedding 12/9/17 in Islamorada.

We would like to have it on 12/2/17 in Davie, FL. It is our anniversary.

According to our wedding planner, early December is "perfect" for a wedding because the weather is nice and it's not yet season in full swing. I say go for it!

December through January. ETA: I meant to say December through February.

I'll say December and January. You get that nice cool breeze, but then again, we are in December now, and its still a lil warm.

It definitely will vary. I say if you already know you want to have it early December that's your best bet. However, I live in Davie and it's still been mostly hot. Not AS humid, but still humid most of the time. We've had some nice, cool, breezy days too, but mostly heat and rain.

Late November/early December (like first week). Later in December and you're competing with the Holidays. January and everyone is broke. February and it's too close to Valentine's Day. Plus January/February are the coolest months. March and the rain begins.

December would prob. be a good bet but this year it's still been pretty damn humid. I think March would be another good month but more expensive. We're hoping for not TOO hot end of April in Islamorada Smiley smile

Yeah, it's a humid night tonight. Really Florida's weather does whatever it wants. I think you should be fine for your date, but have a backup plan, for rain or a weird hot day.
