I think changing the tie color is the easiest way to make him stand out, but still match, so I think the idea of having him wear a red tie sounds great! You could also give him a pocket square, or different boutonniere, but I think I like the tie color change the best.

Yup, changing the tie color is the perfect way to do that. My MOH is wearing a slightly different dress (very similar to the rest with just a few small extra details) in the same color but FH's best man will have a stripes on his pocket square where the rest of the guys will have a solid one.

A tie would be an easy way, but with the men, the important thing to consider is: how is your FH standing out? For our guys, we had my H in a different colored tie— that was the only thing that differentiated their looks. So make sure to settle FH first and have him
stand out the most! If he’s doing something different already (ex: white tie, different color jacket) then the red/gold tie variation sounds great
