That said we are not setting up a honeyfund for the sole purpose my FH older family are very technologically confused. We were going to send email save the dates then even questioned if they would read their email.

I say go for it because personally I have no issues with these minus the fee that is paid. That sucks!

With no registry, they are also still more likely to buy a physical item. If I had decided to do a Honeyfund or whatever that would be why.

I really don't think so. I've personally given gifts on Honeyfund and similar and much appreciated being able to choose something - and I know how the sites often work.
