Best friend or sister?!

Brittney and Ryan, on December 11, 2017 at 2:10 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 13

So I was the maid of honor in both my sister's and best friend's weddings.. how am I supposed to choose which one to be my MOH?! My sister has 3 kids and will most likely be too busy to take on the challenge but my best friend doesn't have as much experience with traditions and I don't want to have to prompt her to do everything.

I would either suggest both or just your sister. Most friends understand that sisters will usually be the MOH.

Or not have one at all. I have both my sisters, my high school best friend and my current best friend. No maid of honor.

Challenge? You're not making any sense... you can ask both or go with your sister because I'm sure your friend would understand that she's family

It depends on who you actually want? I say best friend. If she's your best friend I feel like that's pretty cut and dry. Your sister doesn't have to be your MOH because she's your sister.

    1) "Up to the challenge"? Does she have to do an obstacle course or something?

    2) I was MOH in both of my sisters' weddings. My best friend was mine, because that's who I wanted. My sisters were BMs.

I would say your sister if you are truly very close with her. My matron of honor had her sister as her maid of honor, so I'm the best friend in your situation. As much as I would have loved to be her maid of honor I wasn't upset at all that she chose her sister.

My sister was my MOH, and I was hers. Just something we always talked about.

If it's a challenge just give it to them and let them battle it out to the death, I mean wedding.

You want the most bang for your wedding party buck, after all.

    Take bets, too.
