BEST BACHELORETTE PARTY SPOTS

Marissa M, on May 21, 2017 at 12:28 PM Posted in Planning 0 22

We need some ideas for my bachelorette party! There have been talks about NOLA, Nashville or Savannah but I wanna hear people's experiences and advice! I live in Florida so the Keys/MiamI isn't too exciting to us lol. Where have you been for a bachelorette party how was it?!

ps- a cruise is out of the question; one on my BMs gets sea sick Smiley sad

I think local is the way to go, unless everyone has unlimited funds. Also, don't be involved in the planning.

I'm not involved, they just wanted my opinion on location. Most of us were already dead set on a cruise, until all the BMs talked and realized one wouldnt go because of sea sickness. Now their looking at other options.

I think it just depends on what you and your BM's like doing. I love about an hour and a half from NOLA so it isn't as exciting to me. But if you've never bred there's a good bit to do during the day and as well as night. I've heard a lot of fun things about Nashville but I've personally never been so I can't say to much about it.

If you want a party vibe and have never been to NOLA, I would suggest there. Nashville second for a party vibe. If you want to have nice chill girls weekend, I'd do Savannah.

ETA: I agree with Soozie. Bourbon St reeks of beer and vomit and is absolutely disgusting to me. But "most" of my hard partying days are over and those types of things bother me now.

Savannah and Charleston, SC are great spots for a bachelorette party!! If you're willing to hop on a plane, Vegas is so much fun for a bachelorette too.

I've never understood the out of town bachelorette thing... we are doing weekend at the lake for mine!

We live in Georgia- Savannah is fun but honestly it's way smaller than most people think! I would vote Charleston!

I'm heading to Vegas! I know it's a cliche bachelorette party destination but I really enjoyed it there! There's a lot to do besides partying- tons of restaurants, shows and the weather is always great!

It depends on the atmosphere you are wanting. If you want to drink and party, I definitely suggest NOLA (however to reiterate what pp's have said, it is dirty and smelly on bourbon street). If you want more of a laid back vibe, Savannah would be a good option, as would Asheville, NC. Hope this helps!

I'm kind of over all these people slamming destination bachelorette parties. They can choose local for theirs. You do you girl...and it sounds like the girls that are choosing to participate in destination with you are excited also! Have your destination and both options sound amazing. I also live in Florida so I get not being excited about Miami!Smiley winking I've been to Vegas, Niagara, Charlotte, west coast of Florida...etc and I am going to Cali for mine because we want to do some hiking and wineries. It's really more the vibe that you like? I think Savannah will be more laid back...and chill, Nashville if you like country and going out to bars, and NOLA for more of a party vibe. It's whatever sounds more fun for you!!Smiley smile

I just posted my entire New Orleans bachelorette on here if you want to take a look. I'm a local, and highly recommend New Orleans . . . for pretty much everything, actually.

Also, NEW ORLEANS does not reek of vomit. Bourbon Street does because of tourists. Next time you visit, see more of the city.

No one slammed destination bachelorette parties. If they wanted to slam them, they'd probably say something about them making the bride seem super high-maintenance and self-absorbed, or that it's dumb to make your friends pay all this money and get time off of work for an over the top party. You know, if they WERE slamming them, those are just examples...

I looooove New Orleans. I've only been to Nashville once, but I had fun and the food was good. And I live in Georgia so Savannah I wouldn't go to Savannah. It really does depend on what you want to do.

I'd have them pick somewhere local and save your bms the money

In my experience even when "everyone" wants to, that's really not the case and there's someone who feels obligated to and doesn't want to go/spend that kind of money

Hiiii same dilemma as you. Also over ppl complaining about OTHER'S Bachelorette party.

:: eye roll:: if our friends wanna take a girl trip then cool. Mine do and I've told them to choose the least expensive.

I like the idea of Savannah or Charleston because of the beach. I would be up for NOLA too because it's party town plus a wonderful place to see.

Good luck. Sorry I'm not much help

Vegas is fun and full of nightlife! We're planning to go to San Francisco and take a day tour to Napa Valley which I really look forward to since I've never been to wine country.

Yes JPCD. Any thread on here mentioning destination bachelorette and there are always at least 1 or two people saying things like "I" don't understand destination bachelorette. Well that's cool because it's not YOUR bachelorette party. The question wasn't whether she should do destination, it was WHERE she should do it. If people don't want to go or can't afford they say hey I can't go because I can't afford it. Cool! If brides want to go somewhere else they are damn well allowed to for THEIR weekend!Smiley winking

Vegas was fun. We had a huge group go. One other friend went to Playa de carmen. I also went to Cancun.
