Belt or No Belt?

Belt or No Belt? 1

I’m debating if I’d like to add a belt or not to the dress. Do you think it’d look better with one or is it fine the way it is?

I think I prefer your dress without a belt. I think that a belt would cause an awkward break in the lace around your waist, so it would be full lace, belt, a couple tiny pieces of lace. I'm not sure if that makes sense lol.

I think it looks amazing without a belt, your dress has enough going on that a belt might not really work well

The best part of a belt is that they have the option of being removable! Your dress is gorgeous with or without. If you want a little extra bling for the reception, add a belt! Same for if you'd rather be sparkly for the ceremony! If you want to show off that snatched waist do a plain belt! You have SO MANY OPTIONS! Smiley heart

I love bling, so I would go with a belt. And like pp said, you could take it off at some point. But your dress is gorgeous anyway so with whatever you decide, it will look beautiful.

I generally dislike belts on dresses (to me they always feel forced, out of place, and like too much bling) so my vote is no belt!

Another perk of no belt is its one less thing to spend money on that you'll never wear again.

I love how it looks without a belt, the belt might be a bit much since the dress already has some details on the top. Congrats on your beautiful dress!

My seamstress was able to change the trim at the waist of my dress. It was originally a thin, plain ribbon, but she showed me a really dainty (less that 1/4") pearl and crystal "belt." It's something that could pass as a necklace and will be sewn directly to the dress during alterations. Your dress looks like it has a lot of details, which provide great visual interest. You definitely don't need a belt, but if you want one, adding trim with a single row of dainty crystals would be beautiful! It might add some sparkle and detail without being as chunky and dramatic as a belt.
