Belly Bands? Are they necessary?

I wasn't going to do it since I only have 4 items in the invite suite, but are they easy to make or too time consuming? I figured just using silky ribbon and gluing the ends together would be easiest. Or a simple maybe sparkly string and tying it in a bow? Are you just skipping them all together?

We didn't do a belly band. Our invites were flat so we just tucked the RSVP card in there as well.

We didn't do one, I thought about it but it just seemed like extra work. We had the invite, the RSVP card & envelope, and 2 insert cards. They were fine! They were already heavy enough to cost $0.70 to send so I didn't want to add more weight.

Ugh yeah that's my other concern. Hoping mine stay in the normal weight to not have to buy special stamps.

We will have belly bands for ours! They come off easily! Our whole invite with rsvp and details card is normal weight and had no extra cost. This is the website photo of them. I deleted my photo of the one I have.

I just weighed them at the post office! It was super quick. I'd skip the belly band for sure so you don't add extra weight.

I did them because I felt like it and found some pretty ones but they’re really unnecessary. I used little glue dots to put them together and my invitations cost 70 cents each for stamps, so a forever stamp alone wasn’t enough.

I'm using some lightweight twine on mine. I just think it looks nicer with something tying it all together.

I would do a rest with the twine. Someone else posted here that the twine they used left an oil like spot on their invitations.
